HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 4586 44 ORDINANCE NO. 4 5 8 6 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS § 1.12.010, § 1.12.020, § 1.12.030 AND § 1.12.070 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NO. 597 TO WARDS 1, 2,3 AND 7. WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a resolution for Annexation No. 597 recently ordering the territory annexed to the City of Bakersfield; and WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexation for the territory to the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A" for Annexation No. 597 shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: Section 1. All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct. Section 2. Annexation No. 597, properties described as County Properties No. 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 & 8 shall be included in Ward 1. Section 3. Annexation No. 597, property described as County Properties No. 9 shall be included in Ward 2. Section 4. Annexation No. 597, property described as County Properties No. 5 shall be included in Ward 3. Section 5. Annexation No. 597, property described as County Properties No. 4 shall be included in Ward 7. Section 6. Sections 1.12.010, 1.12.020, 1.12.030 and 1. 12.070 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A". Section 7.
