Information Officer 661-326-3803 mdegeare@Bakersfieldpd.us For Immediate Release September 15, 2009 Bakersfield Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect
wanted for assault and battery. On 8/30/09, at about 7:00 p.m., a bus driver for First Transit Transportation Services transported the suspect from Delano, Ca. to the downtown GET Bus
Terminal at 2129 Chester Avenue. The driver had not had any conflict or conversation with the suspect during the trip, however when the suspect exited the bus, he swore at her and punched
her in the face, breaking her nose. The suspect, who is depicted in the attached video, is described as a Hispanic male, 25-30 years old, 5’6”-5’8” tall, shaved head, light complexioned,
having Fu Manchu style facial hair. Although the suspects face is not visible in the video, investigators are hoping someone might be aware of the circumstances related to the suspect
before and after the assault. Anyone with information related to this offense or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to call Detective Dennis Murphy at 326-3861.
