HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 4602 ORDINANCE NO. 4 6 0 2 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 17.06.010, 17.06.020 and 17.06.050 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING MAPS. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: SECTION 1. Section 17.06.010 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 17.06.010 Establishment of zones-Map adopted. A. The location and boundaries of various zone districts are established and geographically delineated on a map or set of maps known as the "Official Zoning Map" of the city of Bakersfield. B. The map, and all amendments, changes and extensions thereof, and all legends, symbols, notations, references, and other matters shown thereon shall be a part of this title and shall constitute Section 17.06.020. SECTION 2. Section 17.06.020 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 17.06.020 Zoning map. The official zoning map of the city and amendments thereto shall be located in and maintained by the planning department. SECTION 3. Section 17.06.050 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 17.06.050 Designation of zones. The several classes of zones into which the city is divided are designated as follows: ~ f'\h'Zc~ctSACOUNCIUOrds\09-10 Ords\17.06.010,020,050.Zones.doc Page 1 of 4 Pages ORViWAL R-1 One family dwelling zone, E Estate, one family dwelling zone, R-S Residential suburban zone, R-S-IA Residential suburban (one-acre minimum lot size) zone, RS-2.5A Residential suburban (two-and-one-half-acre minimum lot size) zone, R-S-5A Residential suburban (five-acre minimum lot size) zone; R-S-1 OA Residential suburban (ten-acre minimum lot size) zone; R-2 Limited multiple-family dwelling zone; (minimum lot area, two thousand five hundred square feet per unit); R-3 Multiple-family dwelling zone; (minimum lot area, one thousand two hundred fifty square feet per unit); R-4 High density Multiple-family dwelling zone; (minimum lot area, six hundred square feet per unit); RH Residential holding zone; C-O Professional and administrative office zone; C-1 Neighborhood commercial zone; C-2 Regional commercial zone; C-B Central business zone; C-C Commercial center zone; M-1 Light manufacturing zone; M-2 General manufacturing zone; M-3 Heavy industrial zone; OS Open space zone; RE Recreation zone; A Agricultural zone; A-20A Agricultural (twenty-acre minimum lot size) zone; P Automobile parking zone; CH Church zone; HOSP Hospital zone; AD Architectural design zone; AA Airport approach zone; FP-P Floodplain primary zone; FP-S Floodplain secondary zone; TT Travel trailer park zone; MH Mobilehome zone; PUD Planned unit development zone; PCD Planned commercial development zone; Sc Senior citizen zone; HD Hillside development combining zone; DI Drilling island district; PE Petroleum extraction combining zone.
