Luther Ennis which took place on 11/2/09 in the 3600 block of K Street. Investigators linked Francisco Aguilar, 25 and Robert Alvarez, 31 to the murder on the day it occurred and arrested
them both for violation of parole. While they were in custody, the investigation continued and yesterday the men were additionally charged with murder, conspiracy and attempted robbery.
Original Release November 2, 2009 On 11/2/09, at 1:38 p.m., Bakersfield Police responded to 3619 'M' Street to a report of a man down outside the apartment. Upon arrival, officers located
Jerry Ennis, 58 lying on the ground, suffering from a laceration to his neck. Ennis was transported to KMC where he died. Ennis’ vehicle was parked in the street south of the apartment
on ‘M’ Street and it is apparent that he made his way from the vehicle to the front door of the apartment after he was assaulted. The investigation is continuing.
