leads to an arrest in the following homicide case being investigated by the Bakersfield Police Department. On Saturday, March 14, 2009, Norberto Gutierrez Jr. was found murdered in his
apartment at 3504 Palm Street. Witnesses said they saw a teal colored four door hatchback vehicle, similar to a Hyundai, parked in front of Gutierrez’ apartment prior to the murder.
The vehicle was occupied by a white female, late thirties early forties, 6’0” tall, medium build with blonde hair and a Black male adult. Anyone with information related to this investigation
or the identity of the two subjects parked in front of Gutierrez’ apartment is encouraged encouraged to call Detective Kevin Findley at 326-3919 or the Secret Witness tip line. The Secret
Witness phone number is 322-4040. The phone line operates 24 hours a day. Secrecy is guaranteed to those who call. Callers who reach a recorded message are urged to call again. A code
name and number will be given each caller. The code name of the responsible secret witness will be published. He or she should then call the Secret Witness line, give the code number
and make arrangements for collecting the reward. Secret Witness is operated under the direction of an independent, voluntary board of directors representing civic organizations, law
enforcement agencies, media outlets, and corporate sponsors.
