Officers were informed by hospital security that a subject believed to be Jacob Davis called for a taxi and was picked up by a local cab company. The Police Department Communications Center contacted the cab company and were advised the subject was dropped off at the intersection of 8th Street and Union Avenue. Officers responded to the 800 block of Union Avenue and located Davis walking south bound on the west side of the road way. Davis was arrested for murder, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernailia and booked into the Kern County Jail. Original Release February 9, 2010 On Saturday, February 6, 2010, officers of the Bakersfield Police Department responded to domestic violence dispute at 3730 “K” Street, space #6. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim of a stabbing, identified as; Arthur Arnold, 45 Arnold, who had received a stab wound to the chest, told officers that he was was stabbed by his cohabitant identified as: Jacob Josh Davis Caucasian male, 26 years old 6’0” tall, 135lbs, having long brown hair,hazel eyes and a pocked marked face. Davis fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. Arnold was transported to Kern Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury on February 9th, 2010.
