to the Dante Delany homicide on 6/25/08, at 2511 Bishop Street. (See original news release below) The following individual is wanted for questioning related to the Delany homicide: Tashawn
Sharp 29, 5’6” tall, 130 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. (Pictured with and without braids) Sharp also has a felony warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, and participation
in a street gang related to the August 28, 2008 shooting of Anthony Fulmer at 1201 40th Street during which a 2 year old girl was inadvertently struck by gunfire. Anyone with information
regarding Sharp’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Martin Heredia at 326-3873. Regarding any information related to the Delany homicide; anonymous and confidential information
can be provided through Secret Witness at 661-322-4040. The Secret Witness phone line operates 24 hours a day. Secrecy is guaranteed to those who call. Callers who reach a recorded message
are urged to call again. A code name and number will be given each caller. The code name of the responsible secret witness will be published. He or she should then call the Secret Witness
line, give the code number and make arrangements for collecting the reward. Secret Witness is operated under the direction of an independent, voluntary board of directors representing
civic organizations, law enforcement agencies, media outlets, and corporate sponsors.
Bishop Street Homicide Wednesday, June 25, 2008 On 6/25/08, at approximately 4:08 a.m. Bakersfield Police officers investigating a commercial burglary in the 3700 block of Mt Vernon
Avenue heard several gun shots coming from the residential area east of Mt Vernon Avenue. They responded to the area to try and locate the source of the shooting. At about that same
time the police department received a report of a victim of a shooting at the apartment complex at 2511 Bishop Street. Officers responded and located the victim, (Dante Delany) who was
lying on the ground outside an apartment. The victim had been shot multiple times and was transported to Kern Medical Center where he died. The victim’s vehicle was found parked on the
street near the scene. The vehicle has been impounded. There is no suspect information at this time. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Bakersfield
