He was provided instructions over the phone regarding rescue procedures. Officers arrived at 11:09 a.m., and the 21 year old was still trying to resuscitate the two boys ages 1 and 3. The boys were transported to local hospitals where they later died. The boys’ 23 year old mother resides in east Bakersfield with the 21 year old and another man, age 22. The 1 and 3 year old boys resided with the three of them. Investigation revealed that the boys spent the night at the house on Dustin Street with the two men, where the 22 year old was house-sitting for his foster parents. The mother arranged for the two men to babysit the boys the night before and had not yet arranged to retrieve them. In the morning, while the 22 year old still slept, the 21 year old was caring for the children. The 21 year old said he went to use the bathroom leaving the children unattended in the den and when he returned the children were no longer in the house. He searched the house and then the back yard finding the two little boys in the pool at which time he pulled them from the pool and made the 911 call. The case is still under investigation. Once the police investigation, including the examination by the Coroner’s office, is completed it will be sent to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office for review. The deceased boys have been identified by the Coroner’s Office as Micah Emmanuel Tucker 1, and Marcus Nevaeh Tucker 3.
