Information Officer 661-326-3803 mdegeare@Bakersfieldpd.us The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for burglary. On
3/16/10, at about 4:00 a.m., the suspect depicted in the attached surveillance photo forced entry to the Los Molcajetes Restaurant, 2500 Brundage Lane and removed money from the register.
The suspect appears to be a Caucasian male 20s with dark short hair and a receding hairline, wearing a dark bulky jacket. Surveillance video captured him leaving the scene on a bicycle.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is encouraged to call Detective Don Cegielski at 326-3545. Over the past month, the police department has seen an increase
in business burglaries wherein the suspect/s forced entry to the business and were able to manipulate the cash register drawer and remove cash. Business owners are encouraged to be cognizant
of this and to be on the safe side, remove all cash from the registers prior to closing and leave interior lights on so activity inside after hours can be seen from the outside, serving
as a deterrent. Business owners interested in information enabling them to improve the safety and security of their businesses are encouraged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department
Crime Prevention Unit at 326-3024.
