to the arrest of Juan Carlos Oregon, Hispanic male 26, 5’6”, 160 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. On Saturday, February 20, 2010, two Bakersfield Police Officers attempted to stop
a vehicle which was later determined to be reported as stolen. The vehicle, occupied by three suspects, failed to stop and led officers on a high speed vehicle pursuit. During the vehicle
pursuit, the rear passenger in the suspect vehicle fired numerous times at the pursuing officers through the rear window. The pursuit eventually came to an end in the 1000 block of Clyde
Street and the suspects ran from the vehicle. One of the officers fired several shots at the suspect believed to have been firing on the officers during the pursuit, striking that suspect
once as he ran away. All three suspects eluded capture on that date. Subsequent investigation led to the identification of the three suspects: Juan Carlos Oregon, Hispanic male 26 Jaime
Aguirre, Hispanic male 20 Anthony Manuel Perez, Hispanic male 20 Perez and Aguirre were arrested however; police have been unable to locate Oregon thus far. Oregon has a warrant for
his arrest and is also wanted for a parole violation. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information regarding Oregon’s whereabouts is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111 or Detective Rick Dossey at 661-326-3543. Anonymous and confidential
information can be provided through Secret Witness at 661-322-4040. The Secret Witness phone line operates 24 hours a day. Secrecy is guaranteed to those who call. Callers will be asked
to select a code name and code number when they provide information to Secret Witness. Should additional contact with the caller be necessary, the code name will be published along with
a request for the original caller to establish contact. Once contact is made, the caller will be asked to provide their original code number for verification purposes. The same steps
will be taken to pay a reward to the caller. Secret Witness is operated under the direction of an independent, voluntary board of directors representing civic organizations, law enforcement
agencies, media outlets, and corporate sponsors.
