Information Officer 661-326-3803 mdegeare@Bakersfieldpd.us For Immediate Release April 14, 2010 On 4/13/10, at about 11:52 p.m., Officer Noah Landers spotted an occupied stolen vehicle
on South Union Avenue at Watts Drive. He and assisting officers attempted to effect a traffic stop on the car and the driver, Juan Carlos Oregon, led them on a short pursuit to the area
of Lindsay Drive where Oregon ran the car off the road, then got out and ran to the 1200 block of Meredith Drive where officers took him into custody after he physically resisted. Oregon
was arrested for auto theft, evading, hit and run, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and the existing warrant for attempted murder on a police officer. Original Release
April 9, 2010 The Secret Witness Program is offering a reward up to $5,000.00 for information information leading to the arrest of Juan Carlos Oregon, Hispanic male 26, 5’6”, 160 pounds,
black hair and brown eyes. On Saturday, February 20, 2010, two Bakersfield Police Officers attempted to stop a vehicle which was later determined to be reported as stolen. The vehicle,
occupied by three suspects, failed to stop and led officers on a high speed vehicle pursuit. During the vehicle pursuit, the rear passenger in the suspect vehicle fired numerous times
at the pursuing officers through the rear window.
The pursuit eventually came to an end in the 1000 block of Clyde Street and the suspects ran from the vehicle. One of the officers fired several shots at the suspect believed to have
been firing on the officers during the pursuit, striking that suspect once as he ran away. All three suspects eluded capture on that date. Subsequent investigation led to the identification
of the three suspects: Juan Carlos Oregon, Hispanic male 26 Jaime Aguirre, Hispanic male 20 Anthony Manuel Perez, Hispanic male 20 Perez and Aguirre were arrested however; police have
been unable to locate Oregon thus far. Oregon has a warrant for his arrest and is also wanted for a parole violation. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information
regarding Oregon’s whereabouts is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111 or Detective Rick Dossey at 661-326-3543. Anonymous and confidential information can

code name and code number when they provide information to Secret Witness. Should additional contact with the caller be necessary, the code name will be published along with a request
for the original caller to establish contact. Once contact is made, the caller will be asked to provide their original code number for verification purposes. The same steps will be taken
to pay a reward to the caller. Secret Witness is operated under the direction of an independent, voluntary board of directors representing civic organizations, law enforcement agencies,
media outlets, and corporate sponsors.
