HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010_04_16_Wanted suspects for strong arm robbery_Arrested BAKERSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Greg Williamson, Chief of Police ________________________________________________________________________ Contact: Sergeant Mary DeGeare Public Information Officer 661-326-3803 mdegeare@Bakersfieldpd.us For Immediate Release April 19, 2010 On 4/15/10, Bakersfield Police Officer Michael Ko recognized Raymond Todd Greenly 24 and a 17 year old male juvenile as the suspects depicted in the attached surveillance photos and through investigation was able to determine they were responsible for the offense. On 4/17/10, Greenly turned himself in as a result of the surveillance photos provided to the media. The 17 year old was arrested at his home. The two were arrested for robbery, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang. Original Release April 16, 2010 The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying suspect wanted for robbery. On 4/11/10, the suspects depicted in the attached video surveillance photos entered the AM/AM/PM at 4010 Wible Road and demanded the clerk open the locked beer coolers. When the clerk declined the first suspect told him he had a gun and threatened him. A second suspect entered the store and also threatened the clerk. The first suspect accessed the beer and began to walk out of the store with an 18 pack of Bud Light beer. When the clerk tried to stop him the suspect assaulted him. Both suspects left in a silver two door possible Hyundai. They are described as a Caucasian male 17-21, 5’6”-5’9”, blonde shaved hair wearing a green shirt and black shorts and a Caucasian male 17-21, 6’0” wearing a black hooded coat and red pants.
