On 6/25/10, at about 11:35 p.m., the suspect depicted in the attached video surveillance photos entered the Chevron Station 4100 California Avenue and took two 18 packs of beer without paying. A witness observed the theft and saw the suspect enter the passenger side of a white unknown make minivan. The witness told the driver to stop and attempted to contact him at which point the driver accelerated, dragging the witness a short distance before he fell. The victim suffered injury and was transported to a local hospital. The suspect who took the beer from the store was described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male, 18-20 years old, 5’8”-5’10” tall, 150 pounds with black wavy hair and wearing a grey t-shirt and dark jeans. The driver of the minivan was described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male, 18-20 years old, 5’-8” tall, thin build, having short hair and wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information regarding the identity of either suspect is urged to call Detective Murphy at 326-3861.
