AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION § 1.12.050 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NO. 520 TO WARD
5.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a
resolution for Annexation No. 520 recently ordering the territory annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is
required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexation for the territory to the
City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A"
for Annexation No. 520 shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated as though
fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 520 shall be included in Ward 5.
Section 3.
Section 1. 12.050 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by
adding thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 4.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory
to the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its
passage.

ANNEXATION NO. 520
GOSFORD NO.3
Being a portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 32, Township 30 South,
Range 27 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, in the County of Kern, State of
California, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Northeast quarter, point also being
the intersection of the centerlines of McCutchen Road (County Road No. 35) and
Gosford Road (County Road No. 238), thence South 00°21'01" West, along the
East line of said Section 32, a distance of 30.00 feet, to a point on the south
right-of-way of McCutchen Road dedicated to the County of Kern per Board of
Supervisor Minute Book 2 Page 233, thence North 89°17'50" West, along said
south right-of-way, a distance of 30.00 feet, to a point on the existing city
corporate boundary said point also being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence along the existing city corporate boundary the following four (4) courses;
Thence (1) South 00°21'01" West, a distance of 1065.43 feet, to a point on the
South line of Parcel Map 10573 recorded November 13, 1998 and
filed in Parcel Map Book 50, Page 30 in the office of the Kern
County Recorder;
Thence (2) North 89°15'58" West along said South line of Parcel Map 10573, a
distance of 1289.79 feet, to a point on the West line of said Parcel
Map 10573;
Thence (3) North 00°22'34" East along said West line of said Parcel Map
10573, a distance of 1064.73 feet, to a point on said South right-of-
way of McCutchen Road (County Road No. 35);
Thence (4) South 89°17'50" East along said South right of-way of McCutchen
Road (County Road No. 35), a distance of 1289.30 feet, to the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
