On 8/13/10, at 11:53 p.m., a woman hosting a children’s slumber party in the 12000 block of Montague Avenue heard noises in her home and upon investigating she observed a man standing in the living room. The woman armed herself with a hammer and yelled at the man, at which point he ran into the back yard and over the wall onto Old Farm Road. The suspect in this case was described as an unknown race male, 5’6”-5’7” wearing white shoes and socks. On 8/17/10, at 1:42 a.m., a man and woman residing in the 11000 block Valley Forge Way awoke to find a man in their bedroom doorway. The male resident yelled at and chased the suspect out of the house, into the back yard and over the wall into neighboring yards. The suspect in this case was described as a Caucasian male in his twenties, 5’7” 150-160 pounds having brown short hair, no facial hair and wearing a grey shirt and blue jean shorts. Attached is a computer generated composite of the suspect seen in the second case. Residents in the area are encouraged to be watchful and report any suspicious persons or vehicles not normally seen in their neighborhoods. Anyone with information believed to be helpful to either investigation is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
