RESOLUTION DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE RISK MANAGER
TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REGARDING MATTERS
BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE CALIFORNIA STATE ASSOCIATION OF
COUNTIES-EXCESS INSURANCE AUTHORITY (CSAC-EIA).
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield insures its real and personal property in
the CSAC Excess Insurance Authority (Authority) Property Pool; and
WHEREAS, the Authority has determined that is it necessary for the City to
delegate a person(s) or position(s) to act on the City's behalf in matters relating
to the City and the Authority; and
WHEREAS, except as to those actions that must be approved by the City
Council, action by the City Council is necessary to delegate authority to the Risk
Manager in order to carry out the purpose and functions of the Authority, and to
act on the City's behalf in matters relating to the City and the Authority; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct.
2. Except as to actions that must be approved by the City Council,
the Risk Manager is hereby appointed to act in all matters relating
to the City and the Authority.
