at Jastro Park. Quinardo Cornejo 30 of Lamont was found in the park with a single gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Investigation
revealed two large groups were attending parties at opposite sides of the park. A confrontation occurred in the center of the park and the victim was shot by a Black male suspect who
then fled in a white Ford Explorer eastbound on 18th Street. The investigation continues. Anyone with information regarding the offense is urged to call Detective Findley at 326-3919.
