The girl was walking to her car in a condominium complex parking lot when she was approached from behind by a male suspect who wrapped his arms around her waist and neck and started pulling her backward away from her car. She kicked the man on the lower leg and he released her. The girl entered her car and fled. The suspect is described only as an unknown race male, 5’6”-5’8” tall, 150 pounds, muscular build, wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt, dark colored pants and white athletic shoes with white trim. The man smelled of cigarette smoke. Anyone with information regarding this offense or suspicious persons in that area is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
