BAKERSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Greg Williamson, Chief of Police ________________________________________________________________________ Contact: Sergeant Mary DeGeare Public
Information Officer 661-326-3803 mdegeare@Bakersfieldpd.us FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 21, 2010 The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating
a missing person who disappeared under suspicious circumstances. Frank Lew Adams Jr. 24 has been missing since Friday, October 15, 2010. At about 5:20 p.m., Adams wife dropped him off
at 8017 Big Bear Street so he could make contact with someone he knew inside. When Adams didn’t come out of the house, his wife called the police department. Officers responded and were
told by the occupant that Adams left the residence with another subject through the back yard. The occupant allowed the officers to search the residence at that time and Adams was not
located. When Adams failed to return home on Saturday a missing person investigation was initiated. On Tuesday morning, Kern County Fire Department responded to a residential fire at
8017 Big Bear Street and that situation is being investigated by Arson investigators.
Bakersfield Police detectives assigned to the missing persons investigation do not find it likely that Adams would have left the residence in the manner described and then fail to contact
his wife unless there was something awry. Detectives assigned to the case have been contacted by several persons, anonymous and otherwise. Detective Moore is specifically interested
in speaking with a person who identified themselves by first name only and would like that person to recontact him at the same number. Anyone with information regarding Adams or his
disappearance is encouraged to call Detective Jim Moore at 661-326-3567. Frank Adams is 5’9” tall, 235 pounds and has shaved black hair, brown eyes and a mustache and goatee.
