A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF THE NORTH AND
SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 171, CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi-
Sion 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: That it is the intention of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield to order the vacation of the north and south
alley, of 20 feet in width, in Block 171, City of Bakersfield, Cali-
fornia, more particularly described as follows:
All of that certain north and south alley, of 20 feet
in width, in Block 171, situated in the City of Bakers-
field, County of Kern, State of California, lying between
110" Street and "P" Street, and bounded on the north by
the prolongation of the southerly boundary line of 23rd
Street, and bounded on the south by the prolongation of
the northerly boundary line of 22nd Street, as said alley,
said Block 171, and said Streets, are shown on the "Map
of the City of Bakersfield," filed in the office of the
County Recorder of Kern County, California, November 25,
1898, in Book 1 of Maps, at pages 13 and 14.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference
is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakers-
field, California.
SECTION 2: That the hour of 8 o1clock P.M., of the 21st -lay
of October, 1957, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, be and the same is hereby
fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the Council
and offer evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 3: That the Director of Public Works of the City of
Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "Notice

of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by said "Street Vacation
Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California; and the Council of said City hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
SECTION!L: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin
board at the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield,
California, within fifteen (15) days after its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 30th day of September, 1957, by the follow-
ing vote:
