Motion by Commissioner Haddock, seconded by Commissioner APPROVED
Strong to approve Consent Non-Public Hearing Items D.1.- D.2.

Public Hearing open, staff report given. Scott Thayer of
Castle and Cooke and Roger McIntosh spoke in favor of
staff's recommendation. Commissioner Strong spoke in
favor of the project. No one spoke against staff's
recommendation. Commissioner Kirschenmann asked
questions about traffic and phasing. Commissioner Lomas
questioned phasing and setbacks from the natural gas
pipeline. Commissioner Haddock spoke in favor of the
project but had questions regarding cultural resources
"prehistoric mound." Public hearing closed. APPROVED
G. COMMUNICATIONS
Planning Director Jim Eggert handed out the 2009 Kern County
Infrastructure Report Card booklet to the Commissioners
prepared by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
H. COMMISSION COMMENTS
Commissioner Stanley wished Commissioner Haddock a Happy
Birthday. Commissioner Kirschenmann asked about a traffic
issue along Main Plaza Drive at the Northwest Promenade.
Commissioner Strong made comments about the solar facilities
at a new soccer park in Poway, CA.
I. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chair Stanley adjourned the
meeting at 6:09 p.m.
