HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 139-10RESOLUTION NO. 1 3 9- 1 0 A RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST TO FILE EXTENSION OF TIME WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FOR THE TRANSPORTATION EQUITY ACT FOR THE 21STCENTURY (TEA-21) FUNDS FOR CENTENNIAL CORRIDOR (HP21 L 5109(098)) WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield received Transportation Equity Act for the 21 st Century (TEA-21) funds for the construction of Centennial Corridor (HP21 L 5109(098)); and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield, in conjunction with the California Department of Transportation, is currently working on the Environmental Document (ED) for said project; and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield is anticipating the completion of the ED in 2012; and WHEREAS, once the ED is complete the project will continue into the Design and Right-of-Way phases with no anticipated delay; and WHEREAS, the construction of the Centennial Corridor Project is scheduled to begin in 2015. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference. 2.
