injury accident in the private drive area behind the Office Depot, 5600 Stockdale Highway. Officers arrived to find multiple injured occupants of a 2000 Toyota Tundra which had been
driven into a light pole with a cement base. Investigation revealed the 15 year old female driver had been driving recklessly and collided into the light pole causing extensive damage
to the passenger side of the truck and fatal injuries to a 19 year old passenger who was seated in the right rear position of the cab. There were six occupants in the Tundra, three males
ages 19, 19 and 18 and three females ages 15, 16 and 17. The survivors’ injuries ranged from minor to very serious for which they were treated at Kern Medical Center. The investigation
into the collision is ongoing.
