COMMISSION, COUNTY OF KERN, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, hereby certify that the
following resolution, proposed by Commissioner :McLaughlin, seconded by Commissioner
Maben, was duly adopted by the Commission at an official meeting thereof held on the Srh day
of December, 2010 by the following vote:

RESOLUTION MAKING DETERMINATION
Section 1. WHEREAS:
(a) A proposal has been submitted to this Commission for the annexation of territory
to the City of Bakersfield designated as Annexation No. 601; and

(b) Pursuant to notice published, posted and mailed, as prescribed by law, a public
hearing upon the proposal was held before this Commission on December 8, 2010,
and
(c) On December 8, 2010, the Commission reviewed the Mitigated Negative
Declaration adopted by the lead agency; and
(d) The Commission is fully advised in the premises:
Section 2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Local Agency Formation
Commission, County of Kern, State of California, as follows:
1. Specific reference is hereby made to all the papers, documents, files and
proceedings heretofore and now taken, had and filed in this matter with particular reference
to Minute Item 12/08/10-2, as appears upon the official minutes of the proceedings of this
Commission.
2. The Commission now finds and determines:
(i) All of the proceedings heretofore and now taken and had in this matter have
been and now are in all respects as required by law.
(ii) The territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited
(iii) There is 100% landowner consent.
(iv) Protest hearing waived as requested by applicant.
(v) The facts set out in the REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION of the
Executive Officer dated November 26, 2010, are true:
(v) The annexation to the City of Bakersfield designated as Annexation No. 601
will be in the best public interest.

3. The annexation to the City of Bakersfield as set forth in the
APPLICATION FOR PROCEEDING ON RESOLUTION BY
LEGISLATIVE BODY, filed herein on November 9, 2010, is hereby
approved subject to the following;
CONDITION RECONDI ENDED BY EXECUTIVE OFFICER:
The Applicant has signed an agreement to actively defend or indemnify and hold
harmless the Kern County Local Agency Formation Commission or its agents,
officers and employees, from any liability or loss connected with the approval of
City of Bakersfield: Annexation No. 601.
4. There is hereby assigned to the territory proposed to be annexed the
following distinctive short form designation, to-wit: City of Bakersfield: Annexation No. 601.
5. The territory proposed for annexation, and which annexation is hereby
approved, all within the County of Kern, State of California, is particularly described and
delineated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by reference made apart hereof.

CITY DE BAKERSEIELD ANNEXATION NO. 601
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Being a portion of Lots 25, 26, and 27 of Sales Map of Lands of Kern County Land Company for
Section 13, Township 29 South, Range 26 East, M.D.M., as shown on map recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of Kern County, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest comer of said Section 13;
Thence North 00°42'48" East, along the west line of the southwest quarter of said Section 13 a distance
of 62.08 feet to a point on the northeasterly right of way line of the A.T.&S.F. Railroad, 100.00 feet
wide, said point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
1. Thence continuing along said west line, North 00°42'48" East 508.01 feet to a point on the
southerly right of way line of Hageman Road (Co. Rd. No. 3264), 60.00 feet wide, said point
being the beginning of a non-tangent curve concave to the south having a radius of 1370.00 feet, a
radial line to said point bears North 08°35'03" West;
2. Thence easterly along said curve and right of way through a central angle of 02°30'41" an are
distance of 60.05 feet to a point of departure from said curve, a radial line to said point bears
North 06°04'22" West;
3. Thence along said radial line North 06°04'22" West 60.00 feet to a point on the northerly right of
way line of Hageman Road, 60.00 feet wide, said point being the beginning of a non-tangent
curve concave to the south having a radius of 1430.00 feet to which a radial bears North 6°04'22"
West;
4. Thence easterly along said curve and northerly right of way, through a central angle of 06°53'07"
an arc distance of 171.84 feet;
5. Thence tangent to said curve South 89'11'15" East 421.22 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave to the south having a radius of 1430.00 feet;
6. Thence easterly along said curve through a central angle of 00°02'47" an arc distance of 1.15 feet
to a point on the existing City of Bakersfield boundary and a point of departure from said
northerly right of way line, a radial line to said point bears North 00°51'32" East;
7. Thence along said boundary, South 00°47'53" West 60.00 feet to a point on the southerly right of
way line of Hageman Road, 60.00 feet wide said point being the begin-Ling of a non-tangent curve
concave to the southwest having a radius of 1370.00 feet, a radial line to said point bears North
00°51'41" East;
8. Thence southeasterly along said southerly right of way line and curve and along said boundary,
through a central angle of 38°46' 15" an arc distance of 927.05 feet to the beginning of a reverse
curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 1430.00 feet, a radial line to said point bears
South 39°37'56" West;

9. Thence southeasterly along said curve and said boundary through a central angle of 11°26'34" an
arc distance of 285.59 feet to the point of beginning of a reverse curve concave to the west having
a radius of 20.00 feet, a radial line through said beginning of reverse curve bears South 28°11'22"
West;
10. Thence departing said boundary southeasterly, southerly and southwesterly along said curve
through a central angle of 88°01'26" an arc distance of 30.73 feet, to a point on the northerly right
of way line of Paddock Place, 60 feet wide;
11. Thence tangent to said curve and along said northerly line of Paddock Place, South 26°12'48"
West 5.86 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the northwest having a radius of
120.00 feet;
12. Thence southwesterly and westerly along said curve and northerly line of Paddock Place, through
a central angle of 64°35'57" an arc distance of 135.30 feet;
13. Thence tangent to said curve North 89°1 I' 15" West 421.65 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 25.00 feet;
14. Thence westerly and northwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 62°10'55" an arc
distance of 27.13 feet to the begimiing of a reverse curve concave to the southeast having a radius
of 50.00 feet, a radial line through said beginning of reverse curve bears North 62°59'40" East;
15. Thence northwesterly, westerly and southerly along said curve through a central angle of
175°46'37" an arc distance of 153.39 feet, to a point of departure from said curve and said
northerly line of Paddock Place, said point being on the north line of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map No.
11071, as shown on map recorded in Parcel Map Book 53, at Pages 109 & 110 in the office of
said County Recorder, a radial line from said curve bears North 67°13'03" East,
16. Thence along the north line of said parcel, North 89°11' 15" West 228.95 feet;
17. Thence continuing along the south line of the southwest quarter of said Section 13,
North 89°11"5" West 814.63 feet;
18. Thence along the northerly right of way of the AT & SF Railroad North 44°16'08"West a distance
of 87.91 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
