a man, later identified as Timothy O’Neil 47, who assumed the identity of another person, William Ross, whom has been deceased since 1982. Investigation revealed O’Neil has worked several
jobs, been married, purchased a house, purchased vehicles, obtained social security benefits, and other benefits under the deceased man’s identity since at least 2002. On 1/14/11, O’Neil
was arrested for marriage under false personation and unauthorized use of identifying information, but did not offer any information regarding his true identity. He was booked into the
Kern County Jail with a requested enhanced bail amount of $100,000.00. On1/15/11, through a DNA analysis, O’Neil’s true identity was determined.
