RESOLUTION NO. 54-57
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD; CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACA-
TION OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK
171, CITY OF BAi ERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of September, 1957, the Council of
tlha City of Bakersfield, pursuant to tho provisions cf the "Strocet
Vacation Act of 1941, being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 732, declaring its intention to order
the vacation of the north and south alley in Block 171, in the
City of Bakersfield, State of California, and
WHEREAS, said Council did fi:. a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 21st day of October, 1957, after
notices were duly posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considerinC the matter, does
hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that certain north and south alley of 20 feet in
width, in Block 171, City of Bakersfield, California, more particu-
larly described as follows, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes:
All of that certain north and south alley, of 20 feet
in width, in Block 171, situated in the City of Bakers-
field, County of Kern, State of California, lying between
110" Street and "P" Street, and bounded on the north by
the prolongation of the southerly boundary line of 23rd
Street, and bounded on the south by the prolongation of
the northerly boundary line of 22nd Street, as said alley,
said Block 171, and said Streets, are shown on the "Map
of the City of Bakersfield," filed in the office of the
County Recorder of Kern County, California, November 25,
1898, in Book 1 of Maps, at pages 13 and 14.
2. That said north and south alley of 20 feet in width, in
Block 171, City of Bakersfield, California, be and the same is hereby
closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, subject

to and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention No. 732•
Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further
N&rticulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by the
a"ler'<, undo•r the seal of the -lity to be recorded in the office of
the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California,

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof, held on the 21st day of October, 1957, by the follow-
ing vote:
