F. PUBLIC HEARINGS
i . Vesting Tentative Tract Map 7222
Public Hearing opened, staff report given. Roland Van Der RES NO 6-11
Valk spoke in favor of staff's recommendation. However, he
questioned the condition requiring a block wall long the
canal and offered alternatives. There was discussion
between the Commissior members and staff. Public hearing
closed.
Commissioner Lomas moved, seconded by Commissioner APPROVED
Strong to approve Public Hearing item F.1 as
recommended, and incorporating the condition changes TRAGISH
recommended by the Public Works Department in a ABSENT
memorandum dated March 17, 2011.

G. COMMUNICATIONS
The Planning Director noted that there will be a Planning
Commissioner's Workshop on May 31, 2011 in Visalia that is only
$10 per person. Those interested in attending should contact
him and he will have staff register for them.
H COMMISSION COMMENTS
Commissioner Lomas commented about walls and fencing
along canals, and asked staff to provide information about
policies/ordinances related to them being required.
Commissioner Kirschenmann acknowledged the students in
the audience. He asked staff to provide some background
regarding ADA compliant issues.
Commissioner Haddock acknowledged the students and
commented that the Commissioners volunteer their services
and that they are appointed by the City Council.
Commissioner Strong agreea with Commissioner Lomas'
comments. He asked if any students in the audience wished to
share information about their class and any observations they
had about the meeting.

I. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chair Stanley adjourned the
meeting at 6:45 p.m.
