A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF
RESIDENTIAL BLUE CART RECYCLING FEES BY THE KERN
COUNTY AUDITOR-CONTROLLER'S OFFICE.
WHEREAS, Section 8.32.060 (B) of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
provides for the prorated billing of new residential refuse service for single family
dwellings, duplexes, and triplexes; and
WHEREAS, the CITY has calculated the annual rate for the Voluntary
"Blue Cart" Recycling Program collection fees and service charges; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the collection of
said charges is necessary for Fiscal Year 2011-2012, and that the rates set by City
Council action on June 9, 2010 for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 will continue and not be
increased for Fiscal Year 2011-2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
The above recitals and findings are true and correct and are
incorporated herein by reference.
2. Pursuant to the Bakersfield Municipal Code, the fees and charges
herein shall be collected by the Kern County Tax Collector on the
property tax rolls.
3. The adoption of these fees and charges complies with Proposition
218.

by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
