CONSENT CALENDAR
a. Minutes of the February 14, 2011 regular meeting,
February 25, 2011 and March 7, 2011 Special
Meetings.
b. Approval of department payments from
February 1, 2011 to April 28, 2011 in the amount
of $5,364,443.85.
C. Resolution finding that Fiscal Year 2011-12 Planning
and Administrative Expenses from the Agency's Low
and Moderate Income Housing Funds are necessary
for the Production, Improvement or Preservation of
Low and Moderate Income Housing in the City of
Bakersfield.
Agency Member Ordiz abstained from voting on item 3.b.
payments to Wallace & Smith, check, numbers 520026,
521067 and 522414 but approved the remaining payments.
Motion by Ordiz, seconded by Knapp, to approve Consent
Calendar items 3.a. thru 3.c.

5. REPORTS
a. Update status of Baker Street Mixed Use Project.
ED/CD Director Donna Kunz gave staff report.
b. Update status of Mill Creek Project.
ED/CD Director Donna Kunz gave staff report. Member
questions were asked and ED/CD Director Kunz
responded.
C. Legislative update regarding the status of
Redevelopment in California including various reforms.
Staff report given by ED/CD Director Donna Kunz.
6. DEFERRED BUSINESS
None
7. NEW BUSINESS
ACTION TAKEN
a. Agreement with outside counsel, Aleshire & Wynder, RA 11-007
LLP for legal services in the matter of Redevelopment
and/or other miscellaneous matters as directed by
the City Attorney in the amount not to exceed
$60,000.
ED/CD Director Donna Kunz gave staff report.
Motion by Pickett, seconded by Sidhu, to approve the APPROVED
agreement. AB PRINCE
b. Proposed Budget for the Bakersfield Redevelopment
Agency (RDA) - Fiscal Year 2011-12.
Presentation report given by ED/CD Director Donna Kunz.
Agency members Bentley and Chairperson Koman asked
questions and ED/CD Director Kunz and Finance Director
Nelson Smith responded.
Motion by Knapp, seconded by Bentley, to approve and APPROVED
transmit to City Council. AB PRINCE

8. AGENCY STATEMENTS
Chairperson Koman stated he attended the California
Redevelopment Association meeting in March and
presented the Agency with the award that was given for
Public Spaces and Linkages.
Agency Member Bentley asked about the Sister Gardens,
and ED/CD Director Kunz responded.
Chairperson Koman welcomed Mr. Sidhu to the Agency.
Member Sidhu thanked the members and staff for a warm
welcome and was pleased to join an agency that has done
so much for the City.
