RESOLUTION NO. 0 6 1 11
A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL PROPERTY
SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
NEGOTIATE ITS SALE
WHEREAS, the City owns a fee simple interest in property located south of
California Avenue and east of Owens Street; and,
WHEREAS, Gryphon Capital, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company
has requested the City sell this property described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto to construct a commercial development; and,
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Planning Department found the sale of this
property to be consistent with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General Plan
pursuant to Government Code Section 65402.
WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code 3.20.125 authorizes the negotiated
sale of City property deemed to be "surplus".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
1. The foregoing findings and recitals are true, correct, and
incorporated herein.
2. Real Property located south of California Avenue and east of Owens
Street is hereby declared surplus to the City's needs and the Finance Director is
authorized to negotiate its sale.

passed and adopted, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular

That certain parcel of land in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California
being more particularly described as: Parcel 2 of Certificate of Compliance recorded
on January 22, 2010 as Document # 0210009114 of Official Records in the office of the
Kern County Recorder, which subdivided Parcel "A" of Parcel Map Waiver P00-0783
recorded on October 12, 2000 as Document No. 0200127498 of Official Records in the
Kern County Recorder's Office.
