AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTIONS § 1.12.040 AND § 1.12.070 BY ADDING ANNEXATION
NOS. 548 AND 608 TO WARD 4 AND ANNEXATION NO. 627 TO
WARD 7.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a
resolution for Annexation Nos. 548, 608 and 627 recently ordering the territory annexed to the
City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is
required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexation for the territory to
the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached
Exhibit "A" for Annexation Nos. 548, 608 and 627 shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and
incorporated as though fully set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 548 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 3.
Annexation No. 608 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 4.
Annexation No. 627 shall be included in Ward 7.
Section 5.
Sections 1. 12.040 and 1. 12.070 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby
amended by adding thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 5.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to
the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its
passage.

IN SAID SECTION 35 ACCORDING TO "KERN COUNTY SALES MAP NO. 1 OF LANDS OF J.B. HAGGIN" FILED
FOR RECORD MAY 3, 1889 IN THE OFICE OF THE KERN COUNTY RECORDER, SAID LAND BEING MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE MONUMENTED WEST % CORNER OF SAID SECTION 35, SAID CORNER ALSO BEING
THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID LOT 24 AND IS ALSO THE POINT OF INTERSECTION OF THE
CENTERLINES OF McKEE ROAD AND STINE ROAD;
THENCE S. 00°35'25" W. ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID LOT 24 AND SAID STINE ROAD CENTERLINE,

THENCE S. 89°04'14" E., 30.00 FEET TO A POINT ON THE EASTERLY RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF SAID STINE
ROAD, SAID POINT ALSO BEING AN ANGLE POINT OF THE EXISTING CORPORATE BOUNDARY LINE OF THE
