transitional residential facility for 14 homeless and low- income persons in
C -1 (Neighborhood Commercial) and R -3 (Multiple - Family Dwelling) zone
districts located at 721 and 725 8th Street.
(Owner /Applicant. Bethany Services Inc. /Bakersfie /d Homeless Center) CEQA: Exempt
(Ward 2) 2. File No. 09 -0872 — Approval of a conditional use permit for outdoor food
preparation and a zoning modification for a 940 square foot retail building
addition abutting residentially zoned property with no side yard setback,
where the minimum required setback is 20 feet, in a C -1 (Neighborhood
Commercial) zone district located at 1631 Beale Avenue.
