Thanks to the communities’ assistance, the suspect depicted in the video surveillance
photos below has been identified as Chad Michael Heliker 21, 6’4”, 170, brown hair
and blue eyes.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to call Detective
Dennis Murphy at 326-3552.

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in
identifying a suspect wanted for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
On 10/12/11, the suspect depicted in the attached video surveillance photo entered TJ
Maxx on Ming Avenue and shoplifted merchandise. When he was contacted by a loss
prevention agent he stabbed the agent with a knife and ran to a grey Ford Taurus,
which has since been located.
He is described as a Caucasian male, late twenties, 6’2” tall, 170 pounds, and pocked
marked face with a possible first name, “Chris”, who was wearing a red shirt with the
words, “Murder Inc.” on the front and black Dickey brand shorts.
Anyone with information regarding the identity and whereabouts of this suspect is
encouraged to call Detective Dennis Murphy at 326-3552.
