For Immediate Release November 18, 2011
On 11/18/11, at about 5:00 p.m., investigators received information Jaime Osuna was in an apartment at
418 Real Road. Officers surrounded the apartment and used the public announcement system to call him
out. Osuna surrendered without incident and was arrested.
During the investigation investigators developed information Osuna was possibly armed with an explosive
device, therefore the immediate area was evacuated and the Bomb Squad responded to search the
apartment to ensure it was safe for residents to return. No explosive devices were located.
A portion of Real Road was closed for about three hours while the operation took place.

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted
for the murder of Yvette Pena 37, whose deceased body was located at the El Morocco Motel, 315
Golden State Highway on 11/13/11.
Investigators have identified Jaime Osuna as responsible for this crime. Osuna is a Hispanic male, 23
years old, 5’6” tall, 155 pounds, having black hair and brown eyes and multiple tattoos on his body and
face. Osuna is suspected to be armed and is very dangerous.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at
327-7111, the 911 system or anonymously through the Secret Witness Hotline at 322-4040.
