NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Board of Zoning Adjustment of the City of Bakersfield will hold a public hearing at
TUESDAY, December 13, 2011
3:00 p.m., , in Conference Room A of City Hall North, 1600
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA, to consider the following:
JH Hansen Engineering is proposing a zoning modification to permit two lattice
covered structures supported by existing concrete columns to exceed the
maximum allowable front yard setback encroachment of 3 feet in an R-1 (8,500)
(One-Family Dwelling – minimum 8,500 square foot lot area) zone district
located at 309 Sonoma Vine Court. Exempt from environmental review. (File

All written comments must be received by the Bakersfield Planning Department on or
before the public hearing date/time indicated above (location: 1715 Chester Avenue,
Bakersfield, CA; phone: 661/326-3733; email: devpln@bakersfieldcity.us. You may review
and/or obtain copies of all public documents at the same location. If you challenge the action
taken on a specific project in court, you may be limited to addressing only those issues raised
at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Bakersfield.
