HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 170-01RESOLUTION NO. 1 ~'0- 0 1 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT FIRE STATION APPARATUS DOORS AND RELATED MATERIAL CANNOT BE REASONABLY OBTAINED THROUGH THE USUAL BIDDING PROCEDURES AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH BIDDING THEREFOR, NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS WHEREAS, the City desires to have standard apparatus door assemblies for all fire stations; and WHEREAS, the City requires 24 hour, 7 days a week availability for parts and repair; and WHEREAS, parts, repair and installation of apparatus doors can only be acquired through one vendor, to wit: Robert B. Moss, Jr., NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The above recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein by reference. 2. The work, supplies, equipment or materials can only be reasonably obtained from one vendor because of restricted availability of such work, supplies, equipment or materials. 3. The Finance Director is authorized to dispense with bidding in accordance with Section 3.20.060(D)(2) of the Bakersfield Municipal Code. 4.
