The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect
wanted for kidnap and sexual assault.
The female victim reported that on 12/17/11, at about 9:45 p.m., she was walking adjacent to Challenger
Park in the 5700 block of Dandelion Way when a male suspect stopped beside her, exited his vehicle,
and forced her into it at gunpoint. The suspect drove her to a nearby undeveloped neighborhood and
forcibly raped her.
The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, 30-40 years old, 5’7” tall, 250 lbs. having straight
brown hair, brown eyes and a full beard and southern/country accent.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dirty White 1990s model vehicle, similar to a Jeep Grand
Cherokee, with brown leather interior.
