Kidnapping
On 12/22/11, at about 8:36 PM, Bakersfield Police Officers were dispatched to the
report of a kidnapping which had just occurred. Officers contacted the 17-year-old
female victim who stated she was walking in the area of Nordic Street and New Stine
Road, when she was grabbed from behind by the suspect who forcibly placed her in his
pick-up and drove from the area.
The suspect drove to a remote area of southwest Bakersfield, at which time the victim
was able to jump from the pick-up and run away. A passing motorist, who was not a
witness to the incident, stopped to assist the victim and telephoned the police.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late thirties to early forties, 5’6”
tall, having a stocky build, brown hair, and a thin brown beard and mustache.
The suspect vehicle is described as a possible 1990s, white, single-cab, compact,
pick-up, similar in appearance to a Ford Ranger.
