HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011_12_30_Robbery ADW Arrest BAKERSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Greg Williamson, Chief of Police Contact: Sergeant Mary DeGeare Bakersfield Police Department (661)326-3803 For Immediate Release December 30, 2011 On December 29, 2011, at 8:52 PM, the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the Super Taco, 1300 East Truxtun Avenue, for a report of a robbery and shooting. Investigation revealed three males wearing masks and dark clothing entered the business and demanded currency. At least one of the males was armed with a handgun. During the course of the robbery two employees were shot before the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of currency. The gunshot victims were transported to Kern Medical Center with minor injuries. The investigation led officers to a residence in the 1300 block of East 19th Street where officers located three subjects hiding in a bedroom. Rudolph Gibson, age 19, Sean Ladia, age 20, and Dennis Washington, age 21, were arrested and subsequently booked into the Kern County Jail for Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and various gang related charges.
