The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a subject wanted
for questioning in a felony hit and run investigation.
On Saturday, December 3, 2011, at about 12:07 a.m., a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was involved in a
collision at the intersection of East Brundage Lane and South Owens Street. The driver of the other
vehicle involved sustained moderate injuries. A third vehicle was damaged by debris from that collision.
The driver of the Silverado ran from the scene, leaving the Silverado behind.
The Silverado is registered to Arturo Garcia-Luna, also known as Elicio Lopez Romero, who is described
as a Hispanic male, 36, 5’6”, 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Garcia-Luna is also currently
wanted on an active misdemeanor DUI warrant.
Anyone with information regarding Garcia-Luna’s whereabouts is urged to call Sr. Officer Jeff Paglia at
326-3960.
