For Immediate Release January 9, 2012
On 1/9/12, at about 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a motorcycle versus vehicle collision at the
corner of Seventh Standard and Zerker Roads. Investigation, thus far, revealed Jonathan Hill 24
was riding his Honda motorcycle west on Seventh Standard Road and collided in the
intersection with Francisco Baragan Duran 42, of Delano, who was driving his Chevy Impala
southbound on Zerker Road. Hill died at the scene, Duran sustained minor injuries and went to
a local hospital. The cause of the accident is still being investigated. Alcohol and drugs do
not appear to be a factor in this collision.
Investigators are interested in speaking to a witness who was on scene and who spoke to other
witnesses, however, left prior to officers arrival.
