For Immediate Release January 3, 2012
On 1/3/11, at 3:32 a.m., Bakersfield Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian
collision on Panama Lane east of the intersection of Akers Road. Investigation
revealed, the motorist, Teresa Randel 36 was traveling east on Panama Lane when she
struck the pedestrian, Angeleigh Kumpel 15, who was crossing the road on her way
home from a friend’s house. Kumpel received serious injuries and was taken to KMC.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision. The investigation is
continuing.
