On 01/21/12, at about 4:40 a.m., the victim was delivering newspapers to the AM/PM, 900 Monterey
Street and left his white 1992 Geo Prism 4 door parked outside the front doors with the engine running.
The suspect depicted in the attached video surveillance photo was inside the store when the victim
arrived and after he exited the store, he took the victims Geo and drove away. The vehicle was later
located abandoned in Lamont.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-25 years old, 5’9” tall, wearing a hat, having a slim build
and having a diamond stud earring in his left ear and a triangular tattoo above and below his left eye. It
is not known if the subject in the black shirt, who is apparently acquainted with the suspect, was involved
in the vehicle theft
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect, or the possible associate/witness also
depicted in the photos, is encouraged to call Detective Fred Torres at 326-3872.
