Officers of the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a report of victim of an assault in the 2100 block of Chester Avenue. Upon arrival officers located an adult male victim suffering from several stab wounds to the upper chest. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with moderate, non-life threatening injuries. Officers canvassing the area located the suspect, Aaron Eaton, 36, of Bakersfield several blocks away. Investigation revealed the suspect and victim were involved in a fight in the 2100 block of Eye Street, which is where the stabbing occurred. Eaton was booked into the Kern County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
