February 23, 2012
On Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 between 0830-1200 hours the
Bakersfield Police Department Traffic Enforcement Detail conducted a
court sting operation at the Kern County Superior Court at 1215 Truxtun
Avenue, focusing on drivers who were unlicensed or driving on a
suspended license.
As a result of this enforcement, one driver was issued a citation for driving
on a suspended license and one vehicle was impounded.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office
of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration. The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by
calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.
