On 3/7/12, at about 6:10 a.m., a male and female suspect armed with a baseball bat and gun entered the Burger King, 1949 Columbus Avenue, and demanded money. The suspects fled in a white compact. Within minutes, Officer William Wesbrook observed the vehicle at Beale Avenue and Flower Street and when he tried to stop it, the male driver led officers on a short pursuit through east Bakersfield ending in the railroad yard near Sumner Street and Gage Street when the vehicle high centered on the track. The male and female both ran. Officer Wesbrook took the male in custody near the car and the female was located by Officer Bryce Cooper, hiding in the rail yard a few minutes later. The vehicle they were driving was reported stolen earlier. The two have been identified as Bredonne Marquis Maston male 39 and Tamika Marshall Brooks aka Pratt female 35.
