Home My WebLink AboutRES NO 027-12RESOLUTION NO. 027— 1 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING APPENDIX A OF THE LOCAL IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURES OF THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA). WHEREAS, the Public Resources Code of the State of California, Section 21082, requires that public agencies adopt objectives, criteria and procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of environmental documents in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the City initially adopted local CEQA Implementation Procedures on April 16, 1973 (Resolution 23 -73) and subsequent amendments have occurred to reflect changes in state law and local procedures; and WHEREAS, the laws and regulations relating to CEQA have been followed by the City and these amendments are found to be Categorically Exempt in accordance with Sections 15307 and 15308 of the State CEQA Guidelines; and WHEREAS, in light of recent legislation which abolished Redevelopment Agencies in the State of California and the desire of the City Council to allow other City Committees and Boards the jurisdiction to review and hold public hearings on environmental documents, Appendix A needs to be amended to state as such.
