ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 16.32.020 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SECURITY
FOR IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 16.32.020 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
16.32.020 Security— Required.
A. The improvement agreement referred to in Section 16.32.010 shall
be secured by one of the following:
A bond or bonds by one or more duly authorized corporate sureties;
2. A cash deposit with the city; or
3. An irrevocable letter of credit from one or more responsible
financial institutions regulated by state or federal government and pledging that
the funds are on deposit and guaranteed for payment on demand by the city.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage.
