The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect
wanted for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. On 5/16/12, at about 2:30 p.m., the suspect
depicted in the attached surveillance video, entered the Subway restaurant at 710 Oak Street and shot
the clerk in the face with a pellet gun. When the clerk ran, the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to take
the cash register drawer. The suspect was believed to have been associated with a female who was
standing in front of the store prior to the robbery.
Directly after the robbery subjects in a newer white Grand Prix with dark tinted windows and a paper
dealer plate was seen leaving the area behind the store. It is unknown if the vehicle is related.
The suspect is described as a Black male 5’10’, 200 pounds, wearing a black NY style bb cap, long-
sleeved grey t-shirt and jeans. The woman was described as a Black female, 5’4” tall, 110 pounds,
wearing a lime green tank top, jean shorts and gold hoop earrings.
Anyone with information regarding this suspect’s identity is encouraged to call Detective Dave Cox at
326-3514.
