The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a
suspect wanted for armed robbery and attempt murder.
Manuel Mario Camacho 30, 5’9” tall, 190 pounds, having brown hair and brown eyes.
On 4/24/12, officers responded to 3901 Q St regarding an unknown situation where two
subjects, identified as Pete Sterling and Greg Castro, were suffering from gunshot wounds.
Investigation revealed that Castro was inside an apartment with two additional people, when
Sterling forced his way inside and attempted to rob them at gun point. A struggle between
Castro and Sterling ensued, at which time Sterling and Castro shot each other. Further
investigation revealed that Camacho was a co-conspirator in the robbery and there is an
outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Anyone with information regarding Camacho’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the
Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
